Symbian Belle-Update: Available now!
After a long waiting time Symbian Belle has now also found the way to the Nokia N8, C7, E7 and other Symbian 3 models of the first generation.
Why update?
Some people on the World Wide Web have called Belle the largest ever published update of a smartphone operating system. This may be seen by each as he wants, but you have to agree that it is an important one. A completely revised UI allows a much better control over the touch screen, new home screens, widgets and backgrounds gives you more possibilities for personalization.
The performance of Symbian Belle can be compared to better Android phones, so the Nokia N8 (600Mhz), for example, work as fast as the Samsung S2 Galaxy (1.2 GHz dual core) (depending on the comparison task). Some even compare the performance with an iPhone or the Windpws Phone 7 Metro UI.
The update is available for all Symbian 3 smartphones except the Nokia 500 (followed in a few days) and can be downloaded and installed via NSU. You cannot do anything wrong with the update (see also: review: Nokia 701).
